Why is beer well under 4 euros in the Netherlands and Germany and under $5 in the USA for a six pack? We saw a six pack of Leffe Blonde for 3.79 Euro in Amsterdam. Why is it so expensive in Australia? And it cannot be because of wages as both the Netherlands and Germany have wages similar to ours. I therefore propose a beer index to track how expensive countries are. We are definitely finding Europe cheaper and better quality than Australia generally.
